135 Teens from all over Georgia are now much less likely to be involved in an automobile accident as a result of attending the Teen Driving Roadeo on September 30.
Their day started by witnessing the extraction and evacuation of a crash victim by ambulance (simulated, of course) by the Macon/Bibb Fire Department. From this dramatic demonstration of what can happen to a careless driver and passengers, they proceeded to the learning stations where they were taught the driving and car care skills that most of us take years to acquire by members of the Macon/Bibb Sheriff's Department, Fire Department, Medical Center, Georgia Public Safety Training Center, and representatives of local businesses and educational institutions.
If you have a son or daughter aged 15 or 16 with a learner's permit or driver's license, please consider enrolling your kid in next year's event; it could save his or her life. Check this website in the late Spring of 2018 for the date and registration information.
